BUSTED!!!!

Let me tell you a story......

Yesterday when I got off work I went to pick up my kids at the sitters.  We were driving through Stansbury and I guess I didn't fully stop at a stop sign.  "I like totally paused"  There just happened to be a Tooele County Sheriff right there and he flipped his lights on.  I pulled over in the parking lot of Stansbury Elementary and gave him my info.  He was gone a few minutes and when he came back he asked me to step out of the car and come talk to him.  I walked to the back of my car and he asked how many kids I had with me and I said 2, he then asked if someone could come pick them up and I asked why.  He proceeded to tell me I had a warrant out for my arrest from a ticket that I got clear back in November 2008.  My Yukon back then wasn't registered.  I didn't realize it was a ticket, ticket I just thought it was a get it taken care of ticket so I did and forgot all about it.  He said that because it was issued in Tooele he had no choice but to take me in, and if I didn't have anyone to come get the kids they would be placed with the state.  Of course I called my mom crying and she said she would come get them.  The officer was very nice and let me drive home to meet my mom there.  That also means he didn't impound my car and I appreciated that.  Well when my mom came to get the boys she had to go back to work so he waited for my mom to leave with the kids before he told me to turn around and put my hands behind my back.  He cuffed me right there in my front yard!  As we are making the what seemed to be 10 hour drive to Tooele I told him I was kinda bummed that I didn't have my camera because I would have totally taken our picture together to put in my blog.  He said he was glad I had such a good attitude about this.  Now here comes the more embarrassing part.  When I was being received at the jail I knew a few people that worked there from my dealings at The Home Depot.  I had to place my head on a wall why a lady patted me down, well it really felt more like a slight grope.  lol  I had to give them my shoes, belt and jewelry.  I did tell them that out of all that stuff I really wanted the belt back the most.  I paid a pretty penny for it and I would hunt down whoever took it.  They brought me over to a desk where an officer asked me all sorts of questions.  One being if I had any gang affiliation.  I was like you know it!  He said he could tell. : )  And when he asked if I worked and where I heard 2 or 3 of the guys standing behind me answer "Home Depot" in unison.  I made the best out of a crappy situation.  I laughed and joked and even the lady that frisked me asked where I got my super cute capri's.  They stuck me in the room where you can have visitors behind a wall of glass that you can talk to them over the phone.  I was offered yummy jail food but I passed because I was supposed to have a date that night.  I sat there for 2 hours all while being completely grossed out that I had no shoes on. I had half a mind to ask for something to clean the room I was in because it was disgusting!  Jarom was very nice and came and bailed me out.  A big thanks to him!  Well it turned out to not be as bad as it could have been I guess.  At least they didn't put me in the holding cell with a VERY intoxicated woman who probably didn't smell to well.  Also I never got the ticket for rolling through that stop sign!!!!

Fan-Freaking-Tastic Weekend!!!!

For those of you who do not know I absolutely LOVE the 4th of July!  It is my second favorite holiday.  It even means a little more with brothers serving in the Military and especially since one of them is deployed right now.  This is how I spent my weekend.  Started out Friday with shopping for fireworks. Didn't get a whole lot, just enough to make the kids happy.  Saturday I took Shad, Jaxon, and Eilee to Deseret Peak pool.  Kelly, Ryan, and Ethan met us there along with my friend Kristy and Laramie.

After the pool I picked Adam up and we came to my house for dinner.  I tried a new recipe. Pulled pork enchiladas and they were so yummy!  We all watched a movie then did fireworks with the kids.  Sunday I got up and decided to make french toast for breakfast.
Also very yummy!  Sunday turned out to be a relaxing day.  It is the switch day with my kids, so after I dropped them off I headed to Adam's for steak and baked potato.  I am very upset with myself because I forgot to take my stinking camera with me on the fourth.  We got up early and went to the parade.  We then made our way to the city park where Eilee was performing.  We saw Transformers 3 WHICH I LOVED!!!!!  BBQ some hamburgers and brauts.  We watched a little of neighborhood fireworks.  Then we went and parked at the bottom of Settlement Canyon where we could see fireworks all over the valley.  It was awesome!  I had a great weekend with all of those I got to spend it with.  I am so grateful for my family and friends and the freedoms we get to share together!

On a quick note last weekend Adam took me camping.  Just the two of us. It was nice to get away.  The best part was he did everything! He packed, he cooked, he set up and took down.  There really was not alot I did.  He is so sweet and is always wanting to take care of me.  I do love that, but love doing it in return.  Here are a few photos from that trip.

We did meet up with his sister Mandy and Austin and Charlee for a nice ride on Saturday.  Just another wonderful weekend in my book!

Rigby Idaho 2011

This last weekend I took Jordan, Shad, Jaxon, Skyler, Adam, and Eilee up to Rigby to visit my Grandpa and Grandma.  It was so much fun to see them and they have the best accommodations for guests.
This is Grandpa's house where Adam and Eilee slept.

This is the guest house grandpa built above the garage.  It has three beds, a bathroom and a small sitting area with couch and t.v.  I kept telling the kids we were "fancy" camping.
Our activities included:

Four wheeling

Hobo horseshoes
A football game

 Just chilling outside
I even gave the kids a choice between the Bodies exhibit and going to Bearworld.  Can you believe they all wanted to go to the Bodies?

Being lumberjacks
Dutch Oven cooking

And a watermelon tossing contest

We spent every second of both days outside and it was fantastic.  Our second night there Jordan, Skyler, Adam and I just sat around the table telling stories.  It was a great time had by all.  At least I hope so : )  I hope we are able to make it up again later this Summer.

New adventure!

So by now you all have heard that I met a really great guy.  He is so sweet and has nothing but kind things to say.  He opens the door and does the dishes if I cook.  He has surprised me with flowers when I had a bad day.  He also knows that I love baseball and he surprised me by taking me to a game.  He made me dinner (which was hard for me not to be in control in the kitchen) and set up his massage table and gave me a great massage.  He enjoys doing things with my boys.  I have to say one of my biggest fears was finding someone who liked my kids as much as me.  They in return like him.  He is so sweet with his daughter and is very close with her.  I also enjoy spending time with her.  We clicked the first time I met her and she is so cute.  We talked one day about what family meant to us and it was like he found my journal and was reading it back to me.  It was so refreshing to hear a man say how important his family is to him and I love that because I am very close with mine.  I love spending time with him even if we do absolutely nothing.  We have some of the silliest things in common like we both LOVE Taco Bell or we are both lactose intolerant.  I have met most of his family and he is very concerned about winning the approval of my brothers.  He has gone with me to my kids game and practices and has even just played catch with them at the park.  He is a very special man and we grow closer and closer everyday.  I wasn't looking for a relationship so soon, but we work so well together why fight it?  I am excited for the future and what it may bring for us!!!

Whirlwind dating!

Some of you know, others do not, but I was asked out on my first date.  I have had an eye on him for a couple of months and I guess he has too.  He finally struck up a conversation with me last Monday.
Well we set our date for Sat. however we didn't waste anytime waiting.  We saw a movie on Tues. and talked through the whole thing. Then on Wednesday and Thursday we had a jammie date.  We attempted to watch movies but we just talked and talked through all of them.  Friday he came to my house for dinner then we went to his for another movie.  lol  Fell asleep and ended up at home around 4:30 a.m.  Why did nobody tell me you don't get any sleep when you are dating someone new?  Last night we went to dinner and a movie.  Boondocks was cancelled due to the fact it started to rain.  After the movie we went to my sisters and visited with them for two hours.  When we got back to my house we got in the hot tub in the snow.  We were up again till about 3:45 and I finally took him home about 6:45 a.m.  I AM EXHAUSTED!!  He is so sweet and so easy to talk to.  I have enjoyed every minute I have had to spend with him.  I also love that I was able to confess all the things I did wrong in my marriage and he did not judge me or hold it against me.  I am glad I met someone who makes me feel special!

To trust or not to trust... that is the question

I think I need some advice from anyone willing to give it.  How do you trust anyone after you have been burned so badly?  When you have been lied to time after time after time, and the forgiving nature you have is so easily taken advantage of?  It is who I am.  I forgive because I don't think I need to hold onto all the bad things that people can do to you.  How do you ever trust someone after that though?  I can't continue letting people take advantage of me.  My fear is I am going to analyze every little thing that someone tells me.  Look at it in all directions, and all the possible lies they may be telling me.  I am afraid I am going to sabotage anything good that I may come across because of how I was treated in the past.  I don't want to make the same mistakes, so how do I trust again????

Day 14 A person I would trade places with for a day.....

Well this will be short, sweet and to the point.  This is the person I would trade places with for one day.
Johnny Depp's wife Vanessa Paradis.  Um hello, he is soooo super delicious!  I would do anything to get to spend a day with that yummy man.  Then I could just take a small chunk of his change before I switched back to my normal awesome life : )

I do have to say though there would only be one other person I would switch with, but I am going to keep that one to myself : )
